Engineering Leader - Meta

Founder - Akorda Technical Solutions

Background

Matt Cielecki is an Engineering Leader at Meta, and formerly the CTO at JibJab, a private equity–backed digital media company with over $25–30M in annual revenue and 1M+ paying subscribers. He is also the founder of Akorda Technical Solutions, a technical advisory and consulting company. Matt has over 15 years of experience in software, being a part of high-caliber teams both as an individual contributor and leader.

He is a product-focused technologist, making a major impact at the intersection of AI and consumer software. A builder at heart, his work has reached billions of users, from creating one of the first viral Starcraft 2 mods at Rutgers, which was featured and acknowledged by Blizzard Entertainment, to contributing to an Emmy-winning iOS app (StoryBots), to helping JibJab take the stage at Apple’s WWDC keynote.

Most recently, he spearheaded an AI-powered face-morphing platform that delivers photorealistic face swaps in under one second, powering 5M+ swaps annually. Matt combines deep technical expertise with an instinct for engaging, scalable consumer experiences, making him an emerging executive leader ready to shape the next wave of AI-driven consumer products.

When he is not coding, you can find him exploring new technologies, playing music, video games, or sharing his knowledge through writing and mentoring.
